These pictures were taken on September 13, 2002 in the Colorado State Forest, a Colorado State Park. This park is located at the west end of the Cache La Poudre Scenic Byway, just northwest of Rocky Mountain National Park.
These pictures were taken six days later on September 19, 2002. I had hoped to find aspen trees at their autumn best, though I was still a little early. Still, it was a beautiful time.
