Leading south from the Beartooth Scenice Byway, Wyoming State Highway 296 has been named in honor of Chief Joseph, who led his Nez Perce Indians through this area in their famous flight for freedom. These pictures were taken on August 9, 2003. Unfortunately, the weather was gloomy, but the scenery was still great.
These nature photographs were taken on June 5, 2006 on a sunnier day.
