These pictures were taken in April, 2000 in the Rincon Mountain section, one of two units that make up the Saguaro National Park. The saguaro cacti grow as tall as 50 feet and live for up to 200 years. I found them to be very photogenic characters.

These pictures were taken in November, 2000 in the Tucson Mountain section, which is a much older Saguaro Forest. Many of the cacti here have multiple arms, and some have very interesting shapes.

These pictures were taken in December, 2001. The first 12 were taken in the Rincon Mountain section, and the last three were taken in the Tucson Mountain section. Other pictures from this trip can be found on the Arizona Sunrises and Sunsets page of wallpaperdave.com.

These photographs were taken in June 2005. The temperature here was well over 100 degrees F. I think the heat effected the plants, and they seemed to sag just a little. But I hope my photography skills are a little better than they were in previous pictures. This first section was taken on June 26 in the Rincon section.
