Crazy Woman Canyon Wyoming
Nature photographs
Crazy Woman Canyon follows Crazy Woman Creek in the Bighorn Mountains. It is one of the best kept secrets in northern Wyoming. I found many references to it in tourist literature, but none that actually said where to find it. Still, the narrow dirt road that winds its way from west to south of Buffalo, Wyoming is well worth looking for. Without 4-wheel drive, its probably best to park at the foot of the canyon and hike the road through it (which is what we did). The scenery is spectacular, and nothing like anything else I've seen. The first section of pictures were taken on in April 2005 on a sunny day, but with snow till on the ground.
These photos were taken two months later, in June 2005, when the snow had melted and the stream was swollen from the melted snow.
