Peak to Peak Scenic Byway

The Peak to Peak Scenic Byway runs south from Estes Park, Colorado to Central City. It includes sections of Colorado Highways 7, 72 and 119. I have travelled this byway before and found nothing real striking about it. But these pictures, taken on September 27, 2003, show how the area is transformed at the height of aspen leaves in autumn.
