These pictures were taken on December 27, 2001 at in the Red Rock Country near Sedona, Arizona. The first view of Red Rock Country is astonishing. There are not foothills or anything else to suggest what you are about to enter. The rock formations here are stunning.

These photographs were taken mostly from the opposite side of Sedona from those taken before. They were taken on June 30, 2005 at a time when wildfires were ravaging many acres in Arizona. Consequently these pictures have a sort of smokey nature that makes them unique.

These photographs were taken near sundown on December 20, 2006. We arrived late in the day, and didn't have a lot of time, so we visited a hiking trail near Sedona. Other than the first three, all of the pictures in this section were taken from the trail.
